I have been a certified Pilates teacher for quite a few years. I completed my teacher training back in 2009. Since then I have participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and continuing education opportunities. When you find something you love to do - you don’t mind and even enjoy the continuing education!
Read MorePilates can be intimidating. There, I said it! Don’t get me wrong- I love it! I have found in Pilates a full-body workout that really fits my lifestyle. I crave both the stretch and the burn that comes with a great class. But did those big machines and flexible bodies around me make me nervous at first?

This week - I really needed to take my own advice!

She informed me a couple she is good friends with - husband and wife both 53 years old - have been moved into hospice as they are battling different terminal cancers. That is not that much older than me and truly heartbreaking. She said, “I’ve learned something from this experience of helping my friends at the end of their lives - don’t sweat the small stuff.” Some times we need these reminders to really take stock of what is important and what is not.
